Soulful Justice Sundays worked with six scholars from the Summer Math and Science Honors Academy at UC Berkeley, focusing on providing writing tools that empower their voice. Reflected on themes of Freedom, Justice, and Radical Love to Manifest Greatness. We partnered with Artist and Producer from Brave New Voices, Andrew Wilson, to host a seminar on storytelling.

Explored elements in Nature connecting to our present moment with students from the School of Dance Contact Improvisation group. 1 hour 30 min workshop incorporating poetic elements and fundamentals of Capoeira movements to heighten our awareness of Self and environment.
BTB partnered with Nacao Capoeira in Cosme de Farias Salvador Bahia, Brasil, to provide Free English classes to youth ages 7 - 18 years old. Twice a week for two months students met for one hour, reviewing basic beginners english words. Student recently completed their collective "I AM" poem, which you can view it on our instagram page. Focusing on building self-confidence through pronunciation.
Break The Boxes performed and co-produced an open mic showcase in support of Kelley Kali's USC Master Thesis Film. We raised over $300 from the event, going to raising awareness of childtrafficking in Haiti. The Lalos House Film went on to win the 2018 Pan African Film Festival.
